I am compelled once again to write regarding my grave concerns about car parking in the vicinity of the school premises. The vast majority of you abide by the regulations that apply to the local roads, car parks and pavements as well as using a large degree common sense and applying communal spirit. There are however, a number of our school community that are consistently creating hazards to pedestrians, to other road users and are a nuisance to Blue Badge holders.
Will all drivers please ensure that they:
- DO NOT PARK ON YELLOW LINES
- DO NOT PARK ON PAVEMENTS
- DO NOT USE DISABLED DESIGNATED PARKING BAYS WITHOUT HOLDING A BLUE BADGE
- DO NOT OBSTRUCT ACCESS TO DRIVEWAYS AND JUNCTIONS
Can all drivers please park cars considerately and safely and be extra vigilant regarding children and adults on foot. Only today we have had a near miss in the adjoining public car park where an adult was almost knocked down. For the sake of the safety of our pupils and adult members of the general public, I am prepared to report anyone who continues to flaunt these basic rules of safety that apply to us all to the appropriate authorities.
I am counting on your co-operation in the matter in order that a dreadful incident be avoided. If anyone has information they wish to share regarding any of these matters please do not hesitate to contact the school office in order to bring it to my attention.
